Following the Council meeting on 23rd Jan, the Leader of Bromsgrove District Council has released the following statement regarding libraries:
Leader of Bromsgrove District Council Geoff Denaro said: “The library consultation is ongoing and ends on the 28th February. We don’t know yet what the consultation will show but what we do know is how important a local library is to the heart of our communities, especially those like Hagley, Wythall, Catshill and Rubery.”
“The consultation is to decide how the libraries are run, and that is a question for the communities themselves, and I would encourage everyone to respond to the consultation. Above all what matters is that any area that has a library should keep a library. We will work to protect our libraries in the district.”
