BROMSGROVE MP Sajid Javid has announced his fifth annual Jobs Fair will take place between 11am and 2pm on April 26 and be free for both exhibitors and employment-hunters.
The event, which attracted more than 1,000 people last year when it was held at North Bromsgrove High School, will be held a central location in the town, yet to be confirmed.
There will be thousands of career opportunities on offer by more than 70 local, national and international employers.
The event will also bring together a broader range of local businesses and organisations looking for future employees and visitors will be able to access advice on how to improve their CV and interviewing tips from Lloyds Bank.
Start-up specialists Blue Orchid will be back with its Entrepreneurs Hub where people can pitch a new business idea and get expert enterprise expert advice aimed at helping with the start-up.
Mr Javid said: “Over the past year, it’s been a great pleasure to drop into local businesses and meet constituents who found their calling through the Bromsgrove Jobs Fair.
“I know how intimidating it can be to apply for a job.
“That’s why my Jobs Fair gives everyone the chance to talk one-on-one with potential employers, and hear about the opportunities available to them first-hand.”
The Jobs Fair will be suitable for people looking for part-time and full-time opportunities, an apprenticeship or a change in career.
“I would be delighted to see you at the fair where there will really be something for everyone,” added Mr Javid.
Sponsors and exhibitors are currently being sought for the event.
