WOODRUSH HIGH SCHOOL IN WYTHALL SAVED FROM WINTER CLOSURE
Earlier this month, Woodrush High School got in touch to tell me their boiler and heating system had broken.
Having already worked alongside them on their excellent estates management programme, I understood both the gravity of the situation & its impact on students and teachers alike.
That’s why I immediately brought Woodrush and their plan to the personal attention of the Secretary of State for Education. I’m delighted that following this, the Department for Education swiftly signed off urgent funding for the temporary boilers.
Today, students have walked in to a warm school – but I won’t rest until the permanent, long term solution developed by the School is secured.
Whatever’s happening in Westminster, please remember that my priority will always be my constituents.
